Fields of research: This research group consists of the several scientists with expertise mainly in plant defense signaling (HD), plant bacteriology (BH), plant-insect interactions (GL), insect ecology (BL), and the weed science (JL). Major research activities in this group include genetic, molecular, and biochemical studies to elucidate regulatory mechanisms that underpin plant defense responses to pathogens, insects, and weeds. These studies are aimed at establishing combinative biotechnological approaches that are devised to integrate plant defensive arsenals and feasible measures to control diseases, insect pests, and weeds in agriculturally significant crops.
