Fields of research: In the studies on genome of wheat and its allied species, the team attempts to clarify their genetic relationship and their origin and evolution, other researches include plant genetic engineering with plant chromosome project as starting-point, creation of excellent new germplasm resources, mapping, cloning and transference of exotic desired genes, breeding of new strain and new species.
